Zambia & Botswana / 12 days

Victoria Falls - the smoke that thunders – is the start and end point of our Zambia & Botswana Family Adventure. Game drives, mokoro safaris, wild wilderness camps and of course activities galore makes this the trip of a lifetime. From Livingstone, it’s a short ferry ride across the mighty Zambezi River to Botswana. From our boat cruise along the Chobe River we spot elephants and hippos. We have a wild bush camp on the Makhadikhadi salt pans, and then travel out to the Okavango Delta, where local guides pole us along the channels of the Delta in our dug out canoes, as we enjoy an interactive wilderness experience. In Moremi Game Reserve, there is the chance of some fantastic game spotting, while Savuti National Park is famous for its large prides of lion. 

 

 

Giraffes, Elephants & Warriors

Kenya - home to Africa's Big 5 and also home to the famous Masai tribe. On this action packed tour we have the chance to feed giraffes, watch baby elephants at an elephant orphanage, meet Morani, an orphaned tamed black rhino, and visit a chimpanzee sanctuary. There are game drives in Olpejeta Game Sanctuary and Samburu Reserve where we look for cheetah and leopard, a boat trip on Lake Naivasha, and a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park - famous for its pink flamingos. We visit one of Kenya's most famous parks and the 7th wonder of the world - the Masai Mara. As part of this journey, children will receive complimentary membership of the Adventurers' Club which offers many exciting activities whilst in camp, such as helping to build a mini Masai home, learning to make fire by rubbing two sticks together as well as educational activities to learn about the environment and surrounding landscape.

Our Madagascar Family Adventure gives you ample opportunities to see and experience the unique wildlife living on this Indian Ocean Island. Most famous amongst its wildlife is the Lemur. We start our tour in the bustling capital city Antananarivo, and visit a Reptile Farm on our way to Andasibe Reserve. Here we go on a night walk in search of lemurs and other nocturnal animals, and in the day look for Indri Indri, the largest lemurs on the island as well as colourful chameleons. Then there is a walk through an orchid park, a visit to a typical Betsimisaraka Village, giving us the chance to interact with one of the local tribes, as well as a trip to Lemur Island. We fly to Nosy Be and spend time on Sakatia Island, a tropical paradise fringed by spectacular coral reefs, with options to snorkel, sea kayak, or just relax on the stunning beach. There is even a day trip to Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve famous for its snorkeling and diving.

Cheetahs, Tribes & Sand Dunes

Namibia - A glorious desert kingdom of contrasting landscapes. The Namib desert is said to be the oldest in the world, with towering dunes and vast, awe-inspiring, unconfined horizons. It is a land of compelling beauty, ancient plant life and abundant game. A rich kaleidoscope of colour, light and shade. Mountains, canyons, desert and beaches - the world in one country. Explore Namibia with us as we travel from Windhoek through the sand dunes of Sesriem National Park to Swakopmund, the activity centre of the country. A visit to the seals and a walk with cheetahs takes us to Etosha National Park with its vast array of wildlife and huge herds of elephants. Add a dash of culture as we visit the resilient tribe of the Himbas, before ending our adventure back in Windhoek.

We explore the magnificent Blyde River Canyon, a gigantic gorge, regarded as one of the natural wonders of Africa. We visit the world renowned Cheetah & Endangered Wildlife Project. A private game reserve is an unforgettable experience, and gives you the chance to try to get in close proximity with Africa’s Big 5 - lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant, a remarkable photo opportunity. No trip to South Africa would be complete without visiting Kruger National Park, offering some of the greatest diversity of fauna & flora on the planet.

 

Lagoons, Penguins & Cape Town

In Cape Town we explore some of the many highlights – Table Mountain, Seal Island, Boulders Beach with its penguin colony, Cape Point, the Cape Winelands and the Cheetah Park. We then journey along the Garden Route with its Mediterranean climate, tropical forests, brilliantly hued birds, tranquil inland lakes, densely wooded mountains, pristine beaches and meandering rivers. From Cape Town we head to Mosselbay via Hermanus, renowned for its whale sightings. We travel to the idyllic haven of Plettenberg Bay, a perfect beach destination. The little town of Knysna is big on attractions from the Featherbed Nature Reserve to its interactive Elephant experience. Tsitsikamma Coastal National Park offers a variety of activities from tree top canopy tours to bungee jumping. Our inland trip back to Cape Town takes us through the semi-desert Klein Karoo and the ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. We visit the Cango Caves, a local ostrich farm and Cango Wildlife Ranch.

 

Chimpanzees, Lions & Lakes

Our action packed family tour will enable you to explore the beauty and diversity of Uganda, the 'Pearl of Africa', with its amazing wildlife, landscapes and people. This experience will take you to untamed corners, allow close encounters with chimpanzees and create lasting memories for years to come. We take game drives in Queen Elizabeth II and Lake Mburo National Parks looking for Ugandan kob, zebra, hippo and other animals. We take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel spotting animals such as buffalo, elephant and leopard as they come in to drink, before heading south and finding the famous tree-climbing lions. At Lake Bunyoni we paddle around some of the islands in canoes. There are close encounters with some of Uganda’s wildlife at the Entebbe Wildlife Centre, before a day trip to Ngamba Island to see the chimpanzees.
